PICO 4 Launched : Beats Meta Quest 2 ?

A new VR headset PICO 4 is launched by ByteDance from parent company of Tik Tok app and currently its available in europe. It’s a serious competitor to Meta Quest 2 and it beats Quest 2 in term of technically specifications. Pico 4 has the higher resolution and slim design than Quest 2.

Tech in Pico 4

Pico 4 is using the same Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1 processor that is used in Meta Quest 2 but it optimize to perform better. Bigger field of view, Passthrough feature, motorized lens separation and efficient controllers. Most of the apps and games are already been ported to Pico store and are ready to use. It comes with option of 128GB or 256GB of storage with better display 105-degree field of view, 2,160×2,160 pixel resolution per eye LCD display and controllers looks like an upgrade. Hardware is only the half battle, lets see can Pico beats in software as well.

Pico 4 Price

Pico 4 option of 128GB is available at price tag of 429 euros and 499 for the 256GB option. It will not available in US yet. Whereas its competitor Quest 2 starts at 450 euros with same storage options. Headset will be available from oct 2022 and at start will be available to 13 european countries and will not be released in US any time soon.
